Introducing the Bare Bones Bodyweight Training Program…

Zero Equipment Necessary
Pure Bodyweight Training
Simple Exercises
Quick Workouts
And Still Effective Progressive Training

Dear Friend,

The 80/20 Principle means that in just about anything you can get 80% of the results with just 20% of the efforts.

I applied this idea to in the creation of my program, The 80/20 Strength Challenge. Could I take my decades of personal training experience and distill it down to something simple yet effective?

I’m very proud of that program. As happy users report…

What Customers Say About the 80/20 Strength Challenge

The programming makes it ridiculously easy to stay consistent---the 15 minute workouts could be fit into my busiest days and energized me.

Josh Hawthorne-Madell

My body feels better and is demonstrably stronger…I found the program structure surprisingly powerful…as a 72 year old.

Laurie Drake

I highly recommend this system for anyone who wants to jumpstart their workout routine or break through plateaus in training.

Brandon Amalani

Founder of Shen Blossom

Overall after 5 weeks of 80/20 strength I am stronger, feel stronger, am sleeping better and have more energy.

Jim Lundy

I am very, very happy and satisfied. Really happy.  Your program works. Period.

Amador Ribera

All in all, I really like this program. It systematizes variety so that I don't get bored with the program but also keep making progress in strength.

Greg

80/20ing the 80/20...

But after developing it, I noticed some sticking points in it that stopped some people from doing it.

While it was mostly bodyweight exercise, it wasn’t fully. Also many people didn’t have the bar or other setup for pullups.

While streamlined, there’s still a good amount to understand before starting. The guide book is 68 pages.

So I thought I could do it all again. The 80/20 Principle is exponential, by that I mean I could strip it down further. Basically just 4% of the effort for 64% of the results.

Introducing…

The Bare Bones Bodyweight Training Program

This requires absolutely zero equipment. (There are a few spots where common items like a chair may be used, but nothing besides the floor and your body is necessary.)

It utilizes three exercises, ones you’re probably already familiar with…

Pushups

Most people make one critical form mistake in doing these...

Bodyweight Squats

Unfortunately, most people can't do a full range of motion here, but with proper training it can be regained.

Plank

Most people can move beyond this basic plank pretty easily.

There are regressions and progressions with all these from total newbie to elite athlete for each of these.

Once again, it is quick workouts, typically ten to fifteen minutes, that build not just strength, but endurance, and even flexibility too.

The Keys of Progression

The trick to any training program is that it must be progressive.

Inside the Bare Bones Bodyweight Training Program you’ll find four different progressive methods used, but in a simple and easy format.

This program like my others is built to help you understand HOW to progress.

Don’t let its simplicity fool you. This is the sort of training with which I built my foundation of fitness many years ago.

In one hour of video and 38 pages of written material (with photos) you'll discover:

  • The arm position trick that most people get wrong on pushups, and how it can damage your shoulders.
  • Three regressions (easier exercises) and three progressions (harder exercises) of the regular pushup.
  • Why fist pushups make pushups both easier and harder (probably not what you think).
  • A two dimensional instead of one dimensional pushup variation that has fixed many shoulder injuries.
  • Breathing in squats, why some may want to do it one way and others the exact opposite.
  • When to go bodyweight only for squats, and when to use weights.
  • Key differences in ball of foot squats and flat footed squats.
  • Most people can easily do the plank. Here are five regressions up to highly elite.
  • Why beginners and advanced trainees might do the same amount of sets, while intermediate trainees will do more.
  • Simple benchmarks of ability to shoot for for pushups, squats and planks.
  • Four ways to track your progression in Bare Bones Bodyweight Training.
  • The goals to shoot for from rank beginner to elite athlete.
  • Why this program works well for high stress loads and/or travel.
  • How this program is built with modularity in mind and thus can easily be combined with other forms of training.
  • And more.

Bonus: Finger and Hand Strength

You'll also learn a simple addition for how to build hand strength with bodyweight exercises, and actually without adding any new exercises or sets to your workout. No extra time!

Who is this For?

If you’re a longtime customer of mine, this may not be a good fit for you. In many cases, you’ll be “beyond” this program with my many other programs.

That being said, I currently am using this program when I travel and am away from my normal gym setup, so it does have its uses.

And as with almost everything I teach it is scalable to all levels. So you can take the “template” and use exercises like handstand pushups and pistol squats.

Yet, this is geared more towards someone just starting out…or coming back from a layoff.

  • If you’ve got no gym equipment, no weights, no nothing, then this is for you.

  • If you don’t want to go to a gym but want to be able to get a quick workout at home, this is it.

  • If you even have very limited space, like living in an apartment, you can do this.

This program was originally available only to members of the Vital Force Guild. They paid up to $49 per month for that. But today you can get access to this as a standalone program.
